In Winter most surfer's dreams look a bit like this.

Surfers are always dreaming of good waves, and in Winter when the air and water temp are equally cold, most would be thinking of warm barrels and long rides.

Those who can afford it, or have holidays owing might just book an Indo trip on the spare of the moment. However for the rest of us bug-infected surfers it's not really on the cards, given work, family, mortgages and so on, hence the dreaming.

This will prompt two thoughts: plan an overseas surf trip or long weekend up the coast or both.

Heading north to warmer waters is the easiest and most cost effective, ok it's not quite Indo but still, a couple of degrees warmer, less crowds and longer waves makes for an epic weekend and makes you look forward to summer.
