All kinds of manoeuvres. The bug loves a fast powerful snap of the top with control, a gouging rail turn into a cutty or backhand snap with fin release. Refining each turn takes thousands of of hours of dedication and practice, and that's what feeds the bug.

While many kids today are into gaming, there are a distinct group of groms who prefer to play in the ocean, and once bitten by the surfing bug, video games seem dull by comparison. Ask any young kid who surfs, what do you want to do, surf 2-3ft clean waves or play Fortnite? Now ask any parent who has kids who live near the beach, what they'd prefer their kids to be doing? hours of mind-numbing violence or healthy ocean play?
You don't need to live at the beach to feed the bug and the bug who waits to surf on weekends, is more likely watching his or her favourite surfers and studying their manoeuvres.
Many bugs develop great styles by emulating the pros. Surfing also builds self-esteem, as it has never been an easy sport to get good at, you need to practice regularly—if you put in the time and get good, you'll set up an awesome life for yourself. But remember with great ability one must practice humility.
The best way to feed the bug is to a find a friend or friends with the same love of surfing. You'll encourage each other to surf better. Get out there, it's pumping!
